My brother has been incarcerated in PBSP SHU for 8 Years. He has received a full college education with the help of my family. He is an intelligent dude who made one bad decision in his life that sent him away until 2040. He did not kill anyone, just armed robbery with a handgun, CA gun laws are tough. I am a counselor and Young? kids don't realize one mistake may change their life forever. If every sane inmate including my bro could go back in time they would have made something of their lives.

As a family member of A PBSP SHU inmate I have to live with the reality that his actions in Prison may put me and my family in danger. Gang retaliation in prisons do not stop at just killing a fellow inmate but also includes the murder? of innocent families outside the prison. This is troubling because there is nothing our government can do to protect us. Moving 3000 miles away would not make a difference. The killing of an inmates family is the ultimate punishment to a fellow gang inmate.
