Together they are PERFECTION. Imagine a whole CD together. Together they can hit almost every note alive. Mariah can hit the very high notes, that Whitney can not. And Whitney can hit the lower notes that Mariah can't.This is perfection. I think if they would have included Celine, it would of been the best song of the century.

Too bad that'll never happen. Mariah herself has said she can't hit the high notes again, due to natural deterioration. And Whitney ruined her voice with drugs.

She and Mariah can both sing extremely well, but I think they both did so much in so little time.I don't blame Whitney's 100% on drugs because MANY other artists have done drugs and never lost theirs voices. Whitney just lost her higher register, which being a vocalist, can come back with strenuous practice and efforts.

Agreed, Whitney still sounds GREAT even if she never did get her old register back. And the world needs voices like hers now that all we can hear is some overproduced Timbaland songs time and time again. I'm curious to find out what direction she'll take from now on. Bobby clearly affected her music making it a bit more "black" whereas her previous material is more Celine Dion like.

I think Mariah got famous off of something the it's not natural for the human body or vocal chord to do. A note in the "whistle" register can destroy your vocal chords. I learned that in vocal class years ago. That's honestly what Mariah is famous for Is her "whistle" register. Others can do it, but nobody could ever do it as polished as Mariah could in her prime. Whitney never was famous for her high register, only her low, soulful tone. So, she could come back a lot more smoothly than Mariah.

She's going with alot of her My Love Is Your Love producers. So, I am expecting a MLIYL album with a more gospel, ballad type songs.I think she will do great. Mariah is going into "bubble-gum" type music, and that will keep her famous and sell albums, but is not that great of music to those of us who appreciate a good vocal performance and not just "the flavor of the week" if you know what I mean.

In Referance to "When You Believe" song. Yeap... very observant Chynna, I am hearing those breath takes. Engineer should have noticed this. Some will let it go because of time constraints. Other will use this as an emotional sigh of breath take. But again notice how Carey has been "Squelching" the mic for as long as I can remember. Well...her first million seller song had more then 6"squelches" No one complaint about it. As for me. I would'nt "Squelch" my songs.
